Mission Statement
The mission of Hart-Ransom Elementary School is that all students will master grade-level skills, based on California State Standards and will accomplish proficient achievement as measured by classroom, district, state and national assessments.
We will:
- Support students who do not achieve proficient levels through identification, intervention, and remediation, to bring them to proficiency.
- Motivate and engage students through meaningful, active research-based strategies, using state adopted curriculum, which inspires students and staff to continue to learn.
- Teach civic rights and responsibilities to enable students to be contributing, good citizens both today and in their future.
- Promote strengths of students and staff through a safe and secure community environment that encourages positive, interpersonal relationships.
- Provide enrichment and recreational activities to provide a positive, growth environment for students in the after school Eagle’s Nest program.
Commitment to students and their learning is the heart of Hart-Ransom. Hart-Ransom School is truly a good place for children and adults to learn and grow and together we continue to “Soar into Tomorrow.”
Brief Program Description
Eagle’s Nest after-school program is a safe and engaging place for students to grow and learn after school. Our goal is to provide a safe, enriching, and nurturing environment. The program focuses on three components: academic, enrichment, and recreation. The academic component includes homework time, homework assistance, and tutoring. The enrichment component provides cooking lessons, arts & crafts, field trips, science experiments, gardening, dance, and much more. Recreation components include traditional sports such as; basketball, baseball, and soccer, running, and non-traditional sports such as; team-building activities. Program hours are Monday – Friday from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Minimum days are from 12:50-6:00 pm and we are closed on holidays. We close at 5:00 on Open House for the safety of our students. There is a monthly fee of $75.00 to 150.00 per student. We have a staff of one to every 20 students (1 to 20 ratio) Transitional Kindergarten is a 1 to 10 ratio. Our enrollment is closed for the 2025-2026 school year, but we are accepting applicants to be placed on our waitlist. Please visit the school office to place your student(s) on our waitlist.
