Library News

All students are expected to be quiet and respectful to others while in the library.

Students may work on home work during all morning recesses & Mon., Wed., Fri. during their lunch recesses too.  They can use the computers to complete assignments or just come in and sit at a table to read or complete their assignments.

K-1 Classes

Students will be able to check out one book per week.  If their book is not returned they will not be able to check out a book until they return their book. Students are taught parts of books, care for books, and the responsibility of having a book and returning it.  If the book is lost or damaged they will need to pay for the book.

2nd & 3rd Grade

2nd can check out 2 books

3rd can check out up to 3 books

If books are not returned they will not be able to check out a book until they return their book. Students are taught parts of books, care for books, and the responsibility of having a book and returning it. They will be checking out books out in their Accelerated Reader reading range and test on those books.  If the book is lost or damaged they will need to pay for the book.

4th – 6th Grade

4th - 6th graders will have the opportunity to work on homework, take AR tests and/or read during their library time.  They are able to check out up to 3 books and are able to keep them for 2 weeks. If they need more time they can renew their books.  If the book is lost or damaged they will need to pay for the book.

7th & 8th Grade

Junior high students no longer have a regularly scheduled library time.  Students can come in during their reading time, morning break & lunch breaks Mon., Wed., Fri. Students can check out up to 3 books and the due date will be written in due date page in the back of the book.  If the book is lost or damaged they will need to pay for the book.

Any damaged or lost books must be paid for to clear the book off their accounts.  We appreciate the charges being taken care of right away.  Paying for the book helps to replace the book so our students are able to have a variety of books in our library.
