Do I have to pay to participate in the Chromebook 1:1 Program? No, you do not have to pay to participate. Chromebooks are provided by the district.
What comes along with the device? Each Chromebook will come with a charger. Take-home devices (7th and 8th grade) must be protected by a Chromebook sleeve provided by the student.
What happens if my student's Chromebook is lost or damaged? We are offering an optional Chromebook Insurance Plan; purchase available online through MySchoolBucks. Coverage will be provided according to the details outlined in the plan. Families will be responsible for repair or replacement of any Chromebook not covered by the Insurance Plan.
Can the Chromebook Insurance Plan be purchased after the Chromebook distribution? Any family reporting a need for repair of a Chromebook not covered by the Insurance Plan after distribution will be responsible for the cost of repair. After repairs have been paid, the option for purchase of the Insurance Plan is available and will cover repairs from the plan purchase date to the end of the current school year.
What happens if the Chromebook is unable to be returned at the end of the school year due to loss or theft? Families will be responsible to replace any Chromebook(s) not returned at the end of the school year.
